Modernizing HR Analytics and Reporting Through Strategic Data Architecture for Invesco

Modernizing HR Analytics and Reporting Through Strategic Data Architecture for Invesco

Situation

Invesco was transitioning its core HR platform from PeopleSoft to Workday, breaking all existing Business Intelligence reporting processes. This major platform migration created an urgent need to rebuild their reporting infrastructure while maintaining continuity of critical workforce insights. Beyond the immediate migration challenge, they also underutilized automation and standardization, resulting in long reporting cycles that consumed significant resources.

Without a clear data model and defined KPIs, leadership struggled to derive insights from workforce data. The HR team needed a comprehensive solution to address migration needs and create a scalable analytics foundation for future growth.

Our Solution

Thought Logic enhanced Invesco’s HR Reporting & Analytics to enable actionable Business Intelligence, uniting HR, IT, and the Enterprise Data Office.

Our team documented current analytics processes to identify workflows, pain points, and dependencies. We then defined future desired capabilities, detailed use-case needs, and worked collaboratively with HR, IT, and the Enterprise Data Office for alignment. We developed a clear roadmap, with business and technical architecture recommendations, to advance People Analytics capabilities. This approach balanced short-term migration with long-term maturity, prioritizing use cases by function and data complexity, and introduced scalable architecture models. We focused on enabling HR teams to use solutions independently while upholding strong data governance and technical standards.
